In 2020, Chef Hisham Abdelfattah launched El Halal Amigos as a 100% Halal-certified food truck. Just one year later, the first brick-and-mortar restaurant opened in Willow Glen. Since then, El Halal Amigos has been featured on Food Network, CBS, and ABC News, served thousands throughout the Bay Area—including at the SAP Center—and built a loyal community around bold, authentic Halal Mexican food. From Chef Hisham’s favorite Carne Asada Tacos with extra NAR to our famous Brisket Barbacoa, El Halal Amigos is about more than great food—it’s about community, culture, and bringing people together.
