The journey began in 2020 when Chef Hisham Abdelfattah launched the first El Halal Amigos 100% Halal certified food truck. This initial step proved successful, leading to a significant expansion in 2021. In that same year, Chef Hisham and his team opened their first brick-and-mortar restaurant in Willow Glen, San Jose, CA, marking a major milestone in their growth.

El Halal Amigos has been featured on major networks like Food Network, CBS, and ABC News, significantly increasing their visibility and reach.The story continues to the present day, with 2025 being a pivotal year, as they are also serving thousands of local community members at the SAP Center.

Chef Hisham's go-to order is “Carne Asada Tacos with Extra Nar!!" showcasing his signature and quite popular dish. Chef Eddie, another integral part of the team, loves the Barbacoa Costillas with Mexican Rice–what a diverse menu!

Beyond the food, El Halal Amigos conveys a sense of community and celebration. There are many occasions with happy customers, team members celebrating, encouraging a vibrant and engaging atmosphere around the brand.
